Tara protects herself from a demon.

When Jonathan casts a Mary-Sue spell the consequences (as usual) are dire and he unknowingly creates a monster.

INT. HALLWAY - NIGHT

Tara heads alone down a dark hall from a side door toward the commons area. The hall is scary around her and the commons promises safety ahead. She hears something behind her and she walks faster. But she's misjudged the direction of the danger. The Monster steps out from around a corner in front of her and she finds herself face-to-face with it. It reaches out with one of its massive forearms and swats her to the ground, face-down. It pummels her with its arms, tearing at her with its claws. It looks like she's being torn apart.

Tara screams and resists, tearing away and scrambling down the hall. She can see the commons just ahead. Bleeding and bruised, she half-crawls, half-runs for the commons, making it there just in time to see a janitor disappear up the stairs, turning out the lights as he goes. She starts to yell, but the Monster knocks her to the floor and she gasps for breath.

Tara:
Sensus confundantur et aer oppleatur.
Caligo absorbeat mentem obscuratam.

(translation)
Confound the senses and charge the air.
Mist engulfs. Mind is fogged.

A burst of smoke forms around her hands. She points at the monster with a shaking finger and the smoke streams out to surround it. The Monster roars, confused. Tara drags herself away from it, to a closed door labeled "Janitorial supplies." She opens the door, crawls in, and just manages to close the door. Then he is at it, battering it fiercely.

Willow, Tara + Giles confront the poltergeists of adolescence past.

When things get a little weird, sexually, Giles and the girls try a little exorcism.

INT. WILLOW & BUFFY'S DORM ROOM

Tara and Willow prepare for an incantation, lighting candles etc.
Anya: What good are weapons against disembodied spirits, Xander? They have no ass to kick.
Giles: She's right. You should just stay outside.
Willow: We'll bind the spirits long enough for you to get Riley and Buffy out.
Xander: How much time will you buy us?
Tara: Could be tricky, we're calling upon the communal spirit of a certain time and place.
Xander: (to Anya) Let's go.
Xander & Anya go outside.
Tara: Give me your hands -- form a circle.
Willow and Giles and Tara hold hands and close their eyes.
Tara: Children of the past, spirits of Lowell, be guided by our light. Come forth and be known to us.
Giles: How will we know when it works?
They hear a noise and look up to see the ghost-children all around them.
Tara: We'll know.
Tara: We implore you -- be still.
Giles: Find it in your hearts to leave our friends passage.
Willow: Transform your pain. Release your past. And -- uh -- get over it.
Giles looks at her, she shrugs.
A strong wind begins to blow, accompanied by screeching and howling.
Tara: (yells) Find here the serenity you seek, the peace you --
The table goes flying. The wind suddenly stops.
Giles: What's happened?
Tara: We lost them.
